  • A clinical psychologist is a licensed mental health professional with advanced doctoral training in understanding human emotion, behavior, and psychological development. Clinical psychologists complete a doctoral degree, years of supervised clinical experience, and specialized training in therapy, assessment, and research. Their education includes coursework in personality, development, neuroscience, psychotherapy, and the science of how people change.

Clinical psychologists are trained to work with a wide range of emotional experiences, from everyday stress to more complex inner worlds and psychological assessment. Many people choose to work with a clinical psychologist when they want thoughtful, depth-oriented therapy that goes beyond learning coping strategies and focuses on long-term insight, meaning, and personal growth.
